The Il-76MD-90A military-transport aircraft has arrived at the Ivanovo aviation center of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Gazeta.ru reports citing the Defense ministry press-service that the crew will set to mastering the craft during scheduled flights in the nearest future.
We remind that the new Il-76MD-90A arrived at the Ivanovo aviation center in December of 2015. 39 aircraft are expected to get delivered for the Defense ministry by 2020. They have also started developing on its base the ‘Premier’ AEW complex as well as the Il-78M-90A refuelling aircraft.
The Il-76MD-90A is a heavily upgraded version of the Il-76 aircraft. The new plane is equipped and upgraded in the way to meet the present day needs of aviation electronics.
