PAK FA. Russian multi-purpose fifth generation fighter plane

The advanced frontline aviation complex (PAK FA) has the T-50 index.

The Sukhoi design bureau has been developing it in strict confidence. The aircraft meets all requirements for the «fifth generation” fighter planes: stealth capabilities within visual, infra-red and radar range; reduced flight strip take-off and landing capabilities; ability to use wide range of weapons, including high precision weapons; counter effort against enemy’s weapons applying stealth technology; no reheat cruising supersonic flight capability; super maneuverability; expert control mode. The T-50 got off for the first time on January 29, 2010. Two PAK FA proof samples were displayed to the wide audience at the MAKS-2011 air show.
