‘Admiral Grigorovitch’ battle ship to be delivered to the Russian Navy on March 10

TASS reports as quoting the JSC ‘Baltic Shipyard’  ‘Yantar’ press-service that the ‘Admiral Grigorovitch’ head frigate of the Project 11356 will soon enter service with the Russian Navy.

“We shall sign the delivery-acceptance act aboard the ‘Admiral Grigorovitch’ on Thursday, March 10. The official Naval flag raising ceremony is going to be held on Friday, March 11”, – the source said.

According to the enterprise representative, the frigate is out in the Baltic Sea for test check. “This is the control sortie after the inspection at the shipyard is completed. The introduction team as well as the ship’s crew will once again, under sailing conditions, check all systems of the frigate and confirm its specifications”, — he says.

‘Admiral Grigorovitch’ is the head ship of the Project 11356. Frigates of this type are designed to conduct warfare in ocean and sea combat areas against enemy’s surface and underwater ships as well as to counter air attacks.  

‘Admiral Grigorovitch’ was keel laid on December 18, 2010 and launched on March 14, 2014. The frigate is equipped with the ‘Kalibr-NK’ fleet missile system with the 3M-54TE high precision cruise missile, ‘Shtil-1’ multi-channel missile system and the ‘Palash’ air-defense artillery system.
