Press-service of the Defense ministry reports that brand-new autonomous decompression systems have been delivered to the engineer units of the Airborne Forces in Novorossiysk, Pskov and Kubinka.

The novelty will reduce time for divers’ training at unimproved shore.

These decompression systems are going to be used for autonomous diving during search and rescue, engineering works, as well as special and training missions in remote areas with unimproved shore, from coast, ice and floating crafts including the inland water.

The systems will allow the airborne units to perform deep-sea diving in full equipment in crews of up to 6 divers, as well as train diving up to 80-100 meters depth in decompression system, and the full range of special purpose diving works with all the tools and equipment necessary.

The MAD systems are designed to be used in boreal climate areas within -30 to +40 degrees Centigrade.
